Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Network Engineer for our offices in Nicosia, Cyprus. The Network Engineer will be responsible to design, implement, and maintain enterprise network infrastructures across on-premises and cloud environments.

Strong technical expertise in networking technologies, security appliances, and cloud integration, combined with problem-solving skills and effective communication, are essential for success in this role.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Designing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise network infrastructure (LAN, WAN, WLAN, VPN, firewalls, and cloud networking solutions).
  • Monitoring network performance, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring optimal uptime and reliability.
  • Configuring and maintaining routers, switches, load balancers, and other networking hardware/ software.
  • Administering firewalls, IDS/ IPS systems, and security appliances to safeguard against threats.
  • Supporting integration of on-premise and cloud-based environments.
  • Developing and maintaining network documentation including diagrams, configurations, and procedures.
  • Providing technical support for escalated network incidents and performing root cause analysis.
  • Collaborating with IT Teams, vendors, and service providers for new implementations and upgrades.
  • Conducting routine maintenance, patching, and upgrades to network systems.
  • Evaluating new networking technologies and recommending solutions to improve performance and security.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer/ electrical engineering, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • 2+ years of proven experience as a Network Engineer, Network Administrator, or similar role.
  • Hands-on experience with enterprise networking technologies (HPE, Palo Alto, Checkpoint, Cisco, Sophos etc.).
  • Experience managing both on-premises and cloud network infrastructures.
  • HPE, Cisco, Palo Alto, CheckPoint certifications (desirable but not mandatory).
  • CompTIA Network+ or Security+.
  • Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, switching, and firewalls.
  • Experience with VPNs, load balancers, and wireless technologies.
  • Familiarity with network monitoring and diagnostic tools.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

PRE-EMPLOYMENT CANDIDATE PRIVACY NOTICE FOR MEDICAL ASSESSMENT BEFORE HIRING

You agree that subject to the completion of the recruitment process and provided that you receive a conditional offer for employment, you will go through a Fit-For-Work assessment by the Company’s Doctor. The Doctor defines the medical tests needed and performs the examination. You will need to sign a Data Privacy consent with the Company Doctor. The Company Doctor will provide a Fit-For-Work assessment with possible comments to the Company. This assessment will be one of the elements taken into consideration for providing a final offer. Other elements include but are not limited of, verification of the educational certifications, the references, and the work permits (if applicable).
