Chief Accountant - Logicom Solutions - Nicosia, Cyprus

Job Overview

Logicom Solutions, a leading systems integrator operating in Cyprus, Greece, and Malta, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Accountant to join our dynamic Team. As the Chief Accountant, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial management, accounting, and reporting within the organization.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Developing and maintaining financial policies, procedures, and controls to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and best practices.
• Managing the company's financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
• Monitoring cash flow, financial performance, and profitability, and provide strategic recommendations to senior management.
• Overseeing the day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable and general ledger.
• Ensuring timely and accurate recording of financial transactions in accordance with local regulations and standards.
• Reviewing and analyzing financial statements to identify variances, trends, and areas for improvement.
• Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management and external stakeholders.
• Assisting with internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with audit requirements and resolving any issues that arise.
• Ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations in Cyprus, Greece, and Malta.
• Preparing and submit tax returns, VAT filings, and other statutory reports accurately and on time.
• Responsible for the smooth operation of the purchasing department and operations department of the company

Skills & Qualifications

• University degree in Accounting or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in a position with similar responsibilities in the industry is a must.
• Member of a Professional Accounting body (ACA/ ACCA/CPA).
• Working experience with Navision will be considered an advantage.
• Strong business and commercial awareness.
• Dynamic, hands on and results driven.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Very good analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Very good knowledge of MS Office and in particularly Excel.
• Fluent in English.
