Job Overview
Due to our ongoing business growth and expansion as a leading IT Group of Companies in the local and international markets, we are currently seeking to hire an equally dynamic and growth-oriented HR Deputy Manager to be based out of our Nicosia Head Office in Cyprus.
The role is instrumental in supporting our Group Head of HR and taking co-ownership of all HR matters and functions within the organization across our local and global markets.
The Group HR Deputy Manager will be highly skilled in the development, implementation and optimization of best practices in HR Management, and will bring a creative, innovative and tailored approach to developing the HR function and enhancing the people-side of performance within the organization.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Developing effective, strategic and sustainable HR practices and initiatives to support the HR function.
- Introducing new, innovative and tailored strategies to further enhance the HR function and performance outcomes.
- Participating in the design, development, improvement and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
- Assisting in organizational restructure and optimization projects.
- Reviewing and implementing best hiring, staffing and on-boarding practices in conjunction with the Group HR Manager to meet immediate, ongoing, and future staffing requirements of the Group.
- Building, developing, and fostering effective channels of collaboration and ongoing communication with all stakeholders.
- Facilitating employees’ performance management process to measure individual and Team performance.
- Assisting in developing and monitoring the organizational succession planning projects.
- Supporting the Group HR Manager in leading the HR Team, locally and globally.
- Facilitating employee and management relations and handling human resource issues on behalf of the Group.
- Keeping up to date on all Labour Laws, practices, processes and decrees across the Group’s local and international markets.
- Advising the HR Team and all stakeholders on existing and new Labour Laws, ensuring everyone is always kept up to date.
- Handling employee legal matters, including drafting employee communication, assisting line managers in understanding and implementing the Group’s policies and procedures.
- Taking the lead in researching, developing, drafting, and distributing all the Department’s circulars and employee communication.
- Assisting with all HR duties and responsibilities within the Department.
Skills & Qualifications
- University degree in HRM or a related field of study.
- A CIPD qualification is desirable.
- A minimum of 8 years of HR professional experience, with minimum 3 years in a supervisory role.
- A proven ability in owning, managing and implementing diverse HR projects.
- Hands-on experience in 360 recruitment processes, HRIS, and creating policies and procedures.
- A very good understanding of workplace employment laws.
- Experience in managing business and employee relations at management level, preferably withing the technology sector.
- An innovative mindset and creative abilities in developing new strategies & solutions.
- Multicultural awareness and diverse market engagements.
- Highly knowledgeable in diversity, inclusion, and workplace-culture management
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- A collaborative spirit and self-starter.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Fluency in Greek and English (written and spoken).
